SPECIAL ZOOM SHABBAT
FRIDAY NOVEMBER 17 @ 630 PM

These past several weeks have been filled with such fear and uncertainty. How are we all to navigate this present day deplorable rash of antisemitism? How do we process such a lack of regard for human life? Since October 7th, life has changed. What can we do as a cohort to feel held? The power of community and connection through song and prayer can, even for a short time, help us to feel less alone. Music and worship can inspire the mind, motivate action, and add meaning to our lives.

Please join me and guitarist Ben Hoadley for a special musical Zoom Shabbat on Friday, November 17th @6:30 PM as we weave into our Shabbat musical menu topical songs by artists such as Joni Mitchell, Louis Armstrong, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Marley, and others . The intention of this service is meant to imbue a feeling of resilience and hope in us all.

I have been trying at least once a day to find a moment of silence and hopefully some clarity. Adam Dehner, my partner in music, and I hope that our recording, with Laura Weiss, of The Sound of Silence (Simon and Garfunkel), will provide you with a bit of tranquility and perhaps enable you to access some inner quiet.

Hoping to see you on the screen on November 17th. Click here to register for the free event and receive the zoom link.

With Blessings, Jodi
